Lors de Raw, The Miz a battu Roman Reigns afin de devenir le nouveau Intercontinental Champion, un titre qu’il a décroché pour la 8e fois et se rapproche donc du record de Chris Jericho et ses neuf règnes.
The Miz a remporté le combat grâce à sa perfidie, puisqu’il a envoyé Reigns, tête la première, dans un coin du ring sans protection, avant de lui asséner un Skull Crushing Finale. Auparavant, The Big Dog a du faire face à The Miztourage, très contraignants durant le combat, qui ont été renvoyé des abords du ring par l’arbitre.

Après sa victoire, The Miz s’est rendu au Manhattan Center, toujours en tenu. Il a d’ailleurs déclaré que la première salle de Raw avait besoin de lui et surtout que l’on réclame le titre Intercontinental.
