Davienne is in full support of WWE ID.
Last fall, WWE launched a new program, called WWE ID, that promises to support and further develop independent wrestlers and training schools. One of the indie talents first welcomed into the program was It’s GAL, whom WWE officials scouted from Wrestling Open.
“I think the program is awesome,” she said. “From an outsider perspective, I’ve seen how much he’s grown. He has the opportunity to travel to all these different places, wrestle all these different people, wrestle the people within the program, go to the Performance Center and learn. The amount of opportunity that they’ve given to these independent wrestlers to grow, to be able to get to NXT, is really incredible. The amount of growth that he’s had in the past eight months, I’m like, who are you? He never would have had that if it wasn’t for the ID program. The support that he’s gotten from them, the coaches that he’s able to talk to, and get advice from.”
WWE ID is paying off in the long run
As of now, 18 talents from across the independent circuit have joined the WWE ID program. Looking ahead, Davienne hopes to see even more come aboard.
“It’s really cool, an amazing opportunity, just also for independent promotions that they can put their logo. They can be featured on the X account or Instagram to get more eyes on independent shows that maybe people don’t know about,” she added. “Then they’ll buy a ticket. The more jobs and more opportunity in wrestling the better, whether it be TNA, MLW, AEW, WWE, WWE ID. The more of it is better for all of us to try to make a go at our dreams.”
