Former WWE Superstar Ryback clears the air after comments on Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens.
In the latest episode of What Do You Wanna Talk About?, Cody Rhodes had Kevin Owens as a guest. During their chat, Owens appeared to take a shot at a former WWE Superstar. Although they didn’t mention a name, many fans believed they were talking about Ryback.
Kevin Owens brought up a former WWE Superstar who, in his view, thought they were bigger names than they actually were after leaving the company. Ryback responded with a long post on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying he believed Cody and Owens were talking about him.
Ryback criticized their remarks and explained that he stopped taking bookings to focus on his health and care for his sick dog.
Ryback says Kevin Owens clarified comments weren’t about him
A day later, Ryback posted another update. He said he spoke with Kevin Owens, and they cleared things up. According to Ryback, Owens told him the comments weren’t about him after all.
Ryback posted on Twitter/X, to clear up confusion from his earlier comments about Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens. He explained that after speaking directly with Owens, he learned the specific comment in the clip wasn’t about him. Although his name came up in another part of their conversation, it had nothing to do with the censored section he initially reacted to.
He wrote, “I want to clarify something from my recent post regarding the clip with @FightOwensFight and @CodyRhodes . After speaking with Kevin, he confirmed the person referenced in that specific comment wasn’t me. My name did come up in another part of the conversation, but not in that clip. I jumped to conclusions based on the name being censored and Cody mentioning working shows with the guy. Since I haven’t been publicly mentioned much in years, I assumed it was about me — and I was wrong. I appreciate Kevin for the honest conversation. We always got along, and I’ve always respected both him and Cody. This is a reminder to ask before assuming, and I’m grateful the post brought awareness to my story regardless, as a lot has been misunderstood in the past. Much love to you both”
