Liv Morgan’s shoulder injury forced WWE to change plans involving Nikki Bella, Iyo Sky, Roxanne Perez, Finn Balor, and others.
Last week on WWE RAW, Morgan dislocated her shoulder during her match against Kairi Sane. Due to the injury, she’s expected to be out of action for several months. WWE now plans to replace her with Roxanne Perez as Raquel Rodriguez’s partner as Women’s tag team champs.
Before the injury, WWE had big plans for Liv Morgan over the next few months. But her injury forced the company to cancel or change many of those plans. According to BodySlam.net, Morgan’s injury affected the direction of multiple storylines and involved several other WWE Superstars.
Sources revealed that Liv Morgan was set to face Iyo Sky at Night of Champions for the Women’s World Championship, with their feud teased on WWE TV weeks ago. She was also scheduled to face Nikki Bella at Evolution. It was either a singles match or a tag match with Raquel Rodriguez against The Bella Twins, depending on Brie Bella’s return. Brie was reported to be in talks with WWE about returning. That has not been confirmed yet, as Brie recently gave an update on the situation.
In addition, WWE planned a major storyline involving internal conflict within The Judgment Day. This would have seen a huge mixed tag team match between Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio vs. Roxanne Perez and Finn Balor.
