John Cena is at it again, taking a sly shot at his Night of Champions opponent, CM Punk.
Last night on RAW, it was announced that John Cena would defend the WWE Championship against CM Punk later this month at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia.
There has been speculation for weeks now that Punk would be involved in this event after appearing in a video announcing the event. However, he ended up being removed from the ad a couple of days later.
Punk’s feelings for Saudi Arabia have been well-known for quite some time now. One of the key talking points is his harsh shot at The Miz on social media back in 2020 in a now-deleted tweet.

After Punk’s trip to Saudi Arabia is now confirmed, John Cena decided it was time to poke fun at Punk by posting an image on his Instagram of The Miz wrestling Samoa Joe in Saudi Arabia at the Greatest Royal Rumble in 2018.

While Cena never explains the images he posts on his Instagram account, it’s blatantly obvious what he’s doing here.
