El Grande Americano picked up a huge win on WWE RAW, but he might’ve spoiled his identity in the process.
Veteran luchadore El Grande Americano competed in a major match on RAW this past Monday. The masked superstar took on AJ Styles and CM Punk in a Men’s Money in the Bank triple threat qualifying match.
The internet wrestling community couldn’t help but notice the boots Americano wore in the triple threat match looked eerily similar to Chad Gable’s footwear. This was evidenced by the CG initials imprinted on them.
X user @AdamGoldberg28 posted two screengrabs from the match that showed a close-up of the boots. The person even tagged RAW General Manager Adam Pearce with a hilarious caption. Check out the post below:
Chad Gable comes to El Grande Americano’s defense
It appears Chad Gable’s awareness isn’t limited to the squared circle. The former Olympian quickly reacted to the latest social media debacle on Americano’s identity. Gable also wished the veteran luchadore luck ahead of this Saturday’s Money in the Bank PLE.
Gable said he lent Americano his boots because “the airlines lost his” before the triple threat match against CM Punk and AJ Styles. Americano would go on to win the match after catching Styles with a loaded headbutt shot.
The full Men’s Money in the Bank lineup features Solo Sikoa, LA Knight, Penta, Seth Rollins, Andrade, and El Grande Americano.
