Shawn Michaels versus The Undertaker from WrestleMania XXV seems to be the obvious pick for WWE Hall of Fame somewhere down the line, but the former Heartbreak Kid has other matches he believes could make it to the Hall of Fame’s Immortal Moment section.
Michaels recently appeared on Going Ringside for a new interview. The WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development and Creative of Famer namedropped the match he said he believes could easily make it to the Hall of Fame before joking about getting more HOF rings because he “still got eight fingers left.”
“Well, look, I think the one that everybody clearly easily goes to is myself and Undertaker,” Shawn Michaels said. “But I think in my humble opinion, I think there are numerous others. But the good thing is I’ve still got eight fingers left. So I’ve only got two Hall of Fame rings. If they want to fill up the other eight, I have no problem with that.” [H/T Fightful]
WWE announced Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin from WrestleMania 13 as the first match to enter the Hall of Fame a few months ago. As part of the 2025 Hall of Fame ceremony, Hart became the only wrestler in WWE history to receive the HOF induction on three separate occasions.

Elsewhere in the interview, Michaels was asked to name his Mt. Rushmore of pro wrestling. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer had a surprising answer to the question, noting his picks are from the seventies and eighties era of the business.
“Yeah, I guess,” Michaels said. “I mean, I don’t know. To me, I’ve always felt like there’s, I don’t know, they’re just your personal favorites, I think. But yeah, I’ve got a few, I guess, but mine date back to usually the… The mid-80s or late 70s.
“I always put Terry Funk in there. I usually put Harley Race in there, Ric Flair, and then that fourth one’s always a little tough for me. It goes to Tully Blanchard because that’s who I grew up with, or Wahoo McDaniel.”
