Cody Rhodes wants his video games to be based on skill, not luck.
WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes and his wife, Brandi Rhodes, spoke with FOX 35 Orlando at the Grand Opening Day of Universal Epic Universe. When the subject of Nintendo came up, Cody spoke about Mario Kart and his fondness for the franchise.
“So we played, I want to say our Mario Kart would be Wii and Switch,” Cody Rhodes said. “The 64 I grew up on, but when we got together, it was Switch was in the game. N64 Mario Kart still holds up to this day, and a little bit more fair than modern Mario Kart, where I feel like you can just drop that blue shell and your lack of skill is rewarded often.”
The blue shell talk shifted Cody’s focus to another Nintendo franchise, Mario Party, that he believes is a work based on how the winners and losers are determined.
“Which is the same with Mario Party, by the way. Mario Party is a complete work. You do everything, strategy-wise, and at the end of the day, we give this person three stars, since they had friends. It’s like, come on!”
It’s a work when you lose, brotha!
TNA Wrestling’s Mance Warner caught Cody Rhodes’ Mario Party comments on social media and had a hilarious response, tweeting out:
“Sounds like @stephdelander when Mancer wins at Mario Party. It’s a work when you lose brotha. But it’s real as fuck when you win baby. Mancer only wins,” Mance Warner said in a post.
