Will CM Punk ultimately appear at WWE’s next event in Saudi Arabia?
During the WWE Backlash broadcast, CM Punk was featured in an ad for WWE Night Of Champions in Saudi Arabia. Punk’s inclusion was a hot issue due to his past remarks about the country, including him saying he would never perform at an event there.
Some speculated that Punk’s addition to the ad meant that he would finally perform on the show, but a new version of the ad has called his involvement into question. The official Riyadh Season Twitter/X account shared a new cut of the ad, but Punk has been removed. Perhaps fittingly enough, Seth Rollins replaces Punk in the ad, seen below.
CM Punk was initially featured in the first ad, winking at the camera near the end. His clip has now been replaced by footage of Seth Rollins screaming during a ring entrance.

Why do people think CM Punk hates Saudi Arabia?
CM Punk recently went live on Instagram and answered fan questions during a Q&A session. One fan asked him why he hates going to Saudi Arabia, and Punk gave an interesting answer.
Punk’s remarks are notable due to him infamously taking a major shot at The Miz over the topic. When he returned to WWE Backstage, Punk famously stated that he was there to “change the culture.” Miz took a dig at him and mocked the “change the culture” line. This resulted in Punk telling Miz to “go suck a blood money covered dick in Saudi Arabia you fucking dork.”
CM Punk ultimately deleted the post, and The Miz has said that Punk apologized for the response. However, Punk has still never performed at any of WWE’s events in Saudi Arabia.
