Shelton Benjamin has a simple message for Hulk Hogan — stop talking about him.
Hulk Hogan is well-known for many things, including getting facts wrong and exaggerating the truth at times. One of those times included saying he was a fan of “Benjamin Shelton’s” work in WWE. Of course, Hogan screwed up and meant “Shelton Benjamin,” who is now with AEW.
A new clip showing highlights of Hogan’s screw-ups has been circulating online. As seen in the video, Hogan recently claimed he wrestled Brock Lesnar after he came back from UFC (he didn’t), and he called Benjamin the wrong name in multiple interviews.

Now, Shelton Benjamin has reacted to getting some attention, and it doesn’t seem like he appreciates Hogan speaking about him. Benjamin wrote the following message to Hogan on Twitter/X, telling the wrestling legend to stop talking about him:
“Message to @HulkHogan. You lost me forever with your “don’t get caught” …or as you would call it “apology” speech,” Benjamin wrote. “So rather than screw up my name and pretend we ever had any sort of camaraderie which we never had. Please do me a favor &…”

MVP also chimed in and replied to Benjamin’s post, reminding everyone that The Iron Sheik was right about Hogan…

What is Hulk Hogan’s “apology speech”?
The GIF, of course, is a reference to Will Smith yelling at Chris Rock to keep his wife’s name out of his mouth after he slapped the host during the 2022 Oscars. Benjamin also referenced Hogan’s “apology” speech when WWE reinstated him in 2018 after his racism and leaked audio scandal. At the time, Hulk Hogan addressed the WWE locker room ahead of that year’s Extreme Rules event. Multiple WWE Superstars, including The New Day and Titus O’Neil, issued statements at the time of Hogan’s reinstatement.
The New Day said they chose not to associate themselves with Hogan. However, they said their opinion might change if he made a genuine effort to change. O’Neil noted that he was a proponent of second chances and supported Hogan being in the WWE Hall Of Fame. However, he did not support Hogan’s “apology” because he didn’t believe Hogan was remorseful about his actions.
It’s clear that Benjamin didn’t buy it, either, as he wants nothing to do with Hogan. More recently, Mark Henry also said that Hogan didn’t try to fix his issues and instead tried to ignore them in the hopes that the negative attention would just go away.
