Lors du dernier épisode diffusé de NXT, Hideo Itami a battu Roderick Strong afin de devenir n°1 Contender au titre NXT. Il affrontera le champion Bobby Roods pour le titre dans le main event de NXT Takeover: Chicago, samedi prochain.
Après le match, Sanity a attaqué Roderick Strong. Ce dernier a plus tard déclaré à William Regal qu’il voulait Sanity. Strong pourrait donc affronter Eric Young à NXT Takeover.
